From a teenage bedroom to a European presence – Cebon celebrates 40 years of growth, partnership, and entrepreneurial spirit. In 2026, we mark a milestone shaped by people, perseverance, and a constant drive to evolve.

It all began in 1986, when three high school friends on Hisingen, Gothenburg, started selling button cell batteries from a teenage bedroom. What began as a small, entrepreneurial idea quickly grew beyond that first room and laid the foundation for something much bigger.

Four decades later, that same journey has evolved into Cebon Group – a company built on trust, long-term relationships, and a continuous drive to develop and improve.

Today, the early days in a teenage bedroom have grown into a 10,000 sqm warehouse, still located on Hisingen. And perhaps most remarkably, all three founders remain part of the company – a testament to the strong values and long-term mindset that have defined Cebon from the very beginning.

Over the years, Cebon Group has expanded its footprint across Europe, developing and growing brands and solutions within energy, lighting, and fire safety. This growth has been shaped by a clear focus on quality, strong partnerships, and the ability to adapt to changing markets and customer needs.

While the journey from a single room to a European presence is something to be proud of, this milestone is ultimately about the people behind it. Employees, partners, and customers have all played a vital role in shaping Cebon into what it is today.
